Pay particular attention to your essay(s). Do not talk about your numbers! Address issues that one cannot simply see by looking at your transcript! Also, Hopkins, like other top schools, doesn't want to hear how smart you are- they already know from your transript-talk about something else.

Hopkin's acceptance rate is actually quite highJul 16 2007Other
Hopkin's acceptance rate is actually quite high. From the perspective of any top 30 undergraduate university, most top applicants basically all look identical. Get your 3.9 high school GPA, a 2300 MCAT, with a slew of extracurriculars and volunteering experiences.

An interesting strategy is to simply apply to a little known major (Applied Mathematics?) and just switch into the major you want. Switching majors is a very quick process that can be done in 5 minutes, and the only major you cannot switch into is Biomedical Engineering.
